Over/Under questions with Hyde ✍️

While I did newsletters and reviews before, it never felt part of something as complete as this blog I'm running now. I've been doing this for more than a year (1-year bearyversary blogpost pending 😬), and I'm happy with what I achieved.

I remember when I first started and marvelled at the articles that other bloggers put out, or the blog setup/design they created. Or the names of bloggers who had been doing this for some time already, and were known in the blogging sphere. I looked up to them, hoping that one day I could be like them. Not in the way of becoming famous, but more as to be seen as a familiar and trusted face in the Indie web community.

Hyde from Lazybea.rs is one of those people I looked up to. I definitely saved his website in my MyMind, as inspiration for when I started working on my blog setup and design. And over time, I started interacting with him via Mastodon (and the great social.lol instance) through all posts, snapshots,... he and I were publishing.

Hyde runs an over/under series via which he asks other bloggers whether a certain item is over- or underrated. I read all of them, as they are a great way to get to know other bloggers, but also to learn about potentially interesting tools or topics. It was with great joy1 that I got his invite to add my cents on a few topics.

He asked me:

In case you're interested in reading my take on these topics, or want to learn more about Hyde, his blog and his over/under series, head out to his website at Lazybea.rs.

  1. I'm not running my blog for the attention of others, and while it's easy to ask another blogger for their opinion, I feel it's a nice sign that I'm seen and trusted amongst others.
