Weekly rewind - W35 ⏪
⏪ Week in rewind
🏖️ The boys were off to the beach with my parents-in-law and other cousins of the family. We know our boys can be quite active, so we were doubtful whether it would go well for a whole week, but likely due to a different group consistency, it all went fine. Seeing the pictures and hearing their stories confirms they had the time of their life. And, I and Marge enjoyed the piece and quiet, going out for a walk, run or a nice dinner at a restaurant.
🏫 The quiet days are officially over. School started today, and while I felt prepared, the boys were not. Not sure if it was the prospect of going back to school, but they had trouble getting to sleep. So getting up early this morning was extra hard. One of the twins even decided to put his head on the table and sleep rather than having breakfast. With school underway, it means the daily rush for making dinner and dropping them off on time for soccer training has started as well.
✍️ Blaugust officially ended, but I'll continue until Saturday as I started late and want to complete the full series. I didn't write yesterday, as I had a busy day and prioritised going to bed early to recover from my long run yesterday. Instead, this weekly rewind will be the second article I'll publish today.
🏃 I did not do all runs as intended, but I'm happy I've been able to stick to the plan of running 6 days the past week. I did my long run yesterday, which was particularly nice with Nelson biking alongside me. However, my legs are feeling sore today, so I'm happy to have a day of rest. Although not completely, as I'll be playing padel with friends in the evening.

📱 Apps in focus
- Bevel (iOS). As I'm very focused on my health and fitness, I'm enjoying Bevel as a way to see how my body is coping with all my training. It connects to Apple Health and uses any of the available data sources to provide advice on sleep and training. It also has food tracking, getting a quick glance at your nutritional choices.
