⏪ Week in rewind
👟 With all the running I've been doing, the mileage of my shoes has gone up tremendously. In general, they say that shoes need replacement at 1000km for training shoes and 400-750km for speed shoes. So, as my shoes were reaching these thresholds and I felt small pains in my body, I got some new replacements. I've already done some runs with them and they feel great. But I've not gone all out as my left knee is hurting a bit, and I do not want to miss my upcoming race.
🏅 My 20k race is up this weekend, and I'm both excited and nervous. I love going to these types of running events and participate with 40.000 other runners, but I'm also nervous as this is the first event I'm running since March last year, and I've only been training properly again for 3 full months. The result will not be as good as last year, I know already, but that's ok as my main goal is the Marathon of Valencia in December.
🎯 Speaking of my marathon. As this will be the first event I ever do abroad, I want to be as good and fit as possible at the starting line. As a result, I've been researching what I need to do and created a plan of execution. But, I've extended this thinking exercise to other goals I might have for this year or more in general for myself (like health, skills, hobbies,...). Logging all my goals and digging deeper on why I want to achieve them, and creating a step-by-step plan, felt so liberating. I can only recommend that you do the same if there is anything you want to achieve.
👥 Similar to last week, I've been using the omg.lol community Discord to log my tasks and create a feeling of accountability. Still, my mind is not always up for it, but knowing of the people in the community, I try not to fail them.
📷 I'm still not back at my previous level of capturing daily life, but I'm happy to have taken a few shots last week, Through the woods and Shots - W20. As I'll be recovering from my race in the week, I'll see to regain my focus on photography.

While I did clean out my Reader backlog and read some Blinkist books, I did not progress in any other book.

- 1Blocker. As I've started to use Safari more often, I added the 1Blocker plug-in to get rid of ads, trackers and cookie banners. It's free, but if you want to block more than 1 category, you need a subscription or buy the lifetime option.

online diaries are the inverse of making friends in person by Dreadfuls. One I can relate to. On being way more open online than with real-life friends.
Where Perfectionism Exists, Shame is Always Lurking by Joseph & I worry too much about what other people think by Jeppe. I'm putting them together as I feel the connection. Too often, I look at the perfect post or snapshot and worry about what others think, so I fail to hit publish even if it has some value.
I wrote 100 blog posts in 100 days and I don’t know what to feel by VonGiorno. A nice and honest piece on how daily writing can bring some value, but also causes fatigue.

- 🏃 Running: 40km (❤️- tapering down for my upcoming race)
- 🚴 Biking: 30km (👍 - could be better, but also didn't want to pressure my legs and knee)
