Weekly rewind - W12 ⏪
My entry for the golden circle composition challenge.
⏪ Week in rewind
🩺 The week started with good intentions but, unfortunately, & quickly took another turn. Milhouse recovered from stomach flu from the weekend, but Bart was next in line, getting sick on Monday and having some difficult nights because of it. It didn't take long for me to be invited to the flu party, so as of Wednesday I spent most of my time on the sofa and bed. We're all feeling better now, except for Nelson who is sick as of today. So I guess I'm not going to the office just yet.
🏃➡️ The 20km race is registered for is within 8.5 weeks, and with another week of low training, I'm beginning to wonder if it was wise to register in the first place 🙊. But I'm up for the challenge of getting back to my training program, and keeping a close eye on what I eat and how I sleep to ensure I don't get sick again. I'm also adding some complementary training to each day to gain a few extra percentages wherever possible (via strength training, breathing exercises, ...).
🎮📺📔 Sickness isn't all bad. I don't spend much time on the sofa, so being forced to rest allowed me to do some PC cleaning, watch some TV, play some games and read when I could. It also forced me to slow down, offering some time for thought and appreciating being healthy for most of the time.
📷 The final challenge of the composition challenge focused on the golden circle, which turned out to be a tough nut to crack for all of us. I wasn't able to go out much, so the best I could do was a shot from my run on Monday (see above). A pity this challenge has come to an end now, as it really forced us all to go out, experiment, and share with each other.
📺 Watched
📺 The day of the Jackal (❤️ - Loved it). We binged it, as much as possible. About a hitman trying to complete some hits while trying to stay out of reach of an MI6 operative chasing him. Eddie Redmayne puts up a great performance as the hitman, making you root for him instead of the good guys.
📺 Daredevil: Born Again. All caught up until episode 4. What a great show and buildup. I wish they released more than 1 show per week.
📺 Vikings. Restarted. Almost finished season 2.
