⏪ Week in rewind
☀️ The fantastic weather continued. Cold during the nights, but sunshine and warm temperatures during the day. You would almost forget we're still in winter.
📷 I've shot some photos (set 1 & 2) for week 3 of the photo composition challenge, focusing on framing. This was, by far, the hardest challenge. As for framing, I love to focus on people and emotion, yet shooting people comes with the risk of being noticed, which puts me outside of my comfort zone. I wrote about it in my post the fear of being seen.
🚙 The boys had the week off, staying over at the grandparents, giving me and Marge some relaxing evenings and the ability to go out one evening. We also went away with the family for the weekend to the Netherlands to enjoy the sun, do some swimming, and do some outdoor activities, which helped us all recharge our internal batteries. Of course, after such a nice week, it's always a bit more painful to get out of bed for work/school...
🏃 I've been able to commit to my running program, except for the long run of yesterday due to arriving late. However, I'm happy with my progress and my son joining for a few short ones, eager to run his first 5k race in a few months.
📺 Watched
📺 Shogun (❤️ - Loved it). What a great show! Set in the old Japan, showing a glimpse of culture, strategy and brutality set during this period. Great characters, scenery and filmography.
📺 Star Wars: Skeleton Crew
📺 Daredevil: Born Again. I've been looking forward to this show. As it's been a while since I saw the previous seasons, so I prepared with a YouTube recap. Only 2 episodes are available, but I can't wait for more.
📚 Reading
📗 The reunion by M. J. Arlidge (👍 - Liked it). A fast-paced story that did get me hooked to finish it. to follow Jennie on her journey to find out who killed Hannah, her high-school best friend. It's captivating and an easy read, although the twists and hold-your-breath reveals were kind of predictable.
📗 Meditations for Mortals by Oliver Burkeman
🎧 World without End by Ken Follett
📱 Apps in focus
Star Walk 2. I already used it in the past, but I reinstalled it with the announcement of the Planetary alignment parade, knowing where to look. A great app that uses AR to look at and identify everything in the sky.
I've been typing on a keyboard for more than 20 years, and still, I'm not doing it correctly. With the help of Keybr I'm doing some typing exercises to correct this and hope to learn to type faster.
