Weekly rewind - W05 ⏪
Everything looks soo much better when the sun is out.
Week in rewind
W05 was the turning point for the weather. Gone are the foggy and rainy days. Temperatures have dropped below 0°C again. But I rather have that and sunshine, than hot and rainy. Sunshine always improves our/my mood and generates that extra push to do something outside, like we did yesterday.
After 3 complete months, my morning/overnight HRV has risen again, almost to the level it was before. This not only makes me happy, but it's also something I feel with my body. I'm no longer tired and feel that running is again going as before. I still need to recover my mileage from what it was before, but I'm getting there.
With improved health and training, I'm focusing on my body and overall health again, trying to get in shape as fast as I can. So with the help of Foodnoms I'm keeping an eye on my calorie intake, and have started to use apps like Breathwork (until the trial ran out) and Unwind to focus on breathing techniques (mainly box breathing) to later on use in my training, but also for improved focus and feeling of calm.
I did a small revamp of my footer to make posts look cleaner and also added the ability to link your posts or website to my blog entries. With the benefit of a premium account, I also installed Umami analytics, a completely unanimous and complaint reporting tool, to see how everyone interacts with my content.
I joined the 100 pics challenge, created by Hyde of Lazy Bears, to post 100 pictures in 365 days. I no longer need an incentive to photograph and share, but I do like to support such challenges and see what others share.
With 3 active boys and at least 1 activity they have to attend to each day, there isn't much room for Missus and me to have some us time. But luckily, with a day off from school and them staying at the grandparents, we had our day and evening to enjoy and recharge.
Watched
I'm not sure if it's a wise decision, but when I saw Sherlock in my viewing list on Netflix, I decided to give it a go. But 13 episodes and 1h30 will take me some time to complete it.
- Nyad (👍- Liked it)1: About the 64-year old Diana Nyad and her perseverance to become the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida. Solid acting from Annette Bening and Jodie Foster.

Apps in focus
Orbit: I have quite a few subscriptions so therefore decided I should keep track of them, especially their renewal. Orbit is an iOS app that does all this and even provides notifications when renewal is due. For tracking unlimited items, it's a 1-time payment, well worth in my opinion. Shoutout to Hiro for the suggestion.
Pocket Casts: I'm listening to podcast again and wil Snipd was nice, I lacked a few featured. So after some digging around I settled for Pocket Casts, a great podcast player, with all great features being free.
Unwind: As mentioned, I've been focusing on my breathing and I've found Unwind a great help and allowing me to keep track of my sessions and progress.

I decided to use a more simplified rating, to reduce headaches whether a rating of 3.5 should be 3 or 4 stars.↩
